The Montgomery County Sheriff  Department regretfully anounced the death of Sheriff John P. Durante who died early Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Durante, 59, was elected as Sheriff in 2000, and has over 25 years in civil service experience. Sheriff Durante was a long time friend and supporter of the Tri-County Motor Unit, providing equipment as well as moral support.
