Motor Officer Training by TCMU

The Tri-County Motor Unit is your local source for motor officer training.

Training is a necessity in police work, and even more so when motorcycles are involved as the vehicle of choice. TCMU believes very strongly that quality basic motorcycle operator training and recertification are key factors in reducing injuries to motor officers.

The program developed by Northwestern University in conjunction with Harley-Davidson is without a doubt one of best in the country. TCMU currently has eight N-U/H-D certified instructors in our Unit and we are authorized to instruct the N-U/H-D curriculum.

TCMU can provide instruction at your facility or ours, and classes can be sized so that motor officers receive individual attention as necessary. With your Department supplied motorcycles, our training can be tailored to your needs e.g., basic operator, recertification of current motor officers, escorting or even rodeo training.
